No. 001: Dolly Would / Tongues of Fire
The inaugural edition brings together Dolly Parton and Gloria Anzaldúa. They might seem like unlikely company, but both understood self-creation as a form of authenticity, the power of making a statement, and refusing the terms handed to you.
Cat’s Sticker Club is a public engagement project combining feminist and queer theory with digital media arts and material social practices. Stickers travel. They move between hands and across spaces. They appear on notebooks, laptops, water bottles, street corners, and other surfaces of everyday life. Small and mobile, they offer a different way to think about how ideas acquire audiences, spread thought, and exist outside of conventional sites of cultural and intellectual exchange.
