Imagination/Crystal Vision
The second edition brings together bell hooks and Stevie Nicks. Imagination, foresight, feminist cultural production, resistance. bell hooks gives the proposition: “Imagination is one of the most powerful modes of resistance.” Stevie gives an enactment of it: “Now here I go again / I see the crystal visions.”’
Each vinyl sticker in 3×3. The hooks sticker is holographic and the Nicks sticker is circular.
Cat’s Sticker Club is free. A limited number of each edition are distributed through NMSU Feminist Border Arts, Gender & Sexuality Studies, and by mail. Fill out the form to request your pack. One pack/request per person. Stick them. Keep them. Give one away. Limited quantities available.

Cat’s Sticker Club is a public engagement project combining feminist and queer theory with digital media arts and material social practices. Stickers travel. They move between hands and across spaces. They appear on notebooks, laptops, water bottles, street corners, and other surfaces of everyday life. Small and mobile, they offer a different way to think about how ideas acquire audiences, spread thought, and exist outside of conventional sites of cultural and intellectual exchange.
Sources: The bell hooks quote is from Teaching Critical Thinking: Practical Wisdom (2010). The image of Stevie Nicks is adapted from a 1977 public-domain publicity photograph. The Nicks quote is from “Dreams,” written by Nicks and released on Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours (1977). “Dreams” became Fleetwood Mac’s only No. 1 single in the United States.

Cat’s Sticker Club is dedicated to the memory of Gus Ramirez, an extraordinary artist and beloved former student who believed deeply in the possibilities of feminist queerness combined with creative practice. They taught me about rasquachismo and to always appreciate the possibilities in everyday materials and acts of making.

No. 001: Dolly Would / Tongues of Fire
The inaugural edition, released in September 2026, brings together Dolly Parton and Gloria Anzaldúa. They might seem like unlikely company, but both understood self-creation as a form of authenticity, the power of making a statement, and refusing the terms handed to you.
